3rd competition for composition CULTURESCAPES / Con Tempo

It's the 3^rd time that festival Culturescapes is calling for compositions in the region where the festival will have its focus for the year. The aim consists in finding young composers in order to promote them and by this means support the exchange between East and West. The competition is directed at composers from following countries: China and Switzerland.

Age limit: 30 years (born 1980 or later)

Requirement:

We demand a composition for the following criteria:

Instrumentation: flute (also possible piccolo/alto flute), Clarinet (sopran as well as bass possible), saxophone, trumpet, violin, viola, violoncello and accordion.

Duration: max. 12 minutes.

The composition must not yet have been performed before. Every participant is allowed to apply only for one composition.

Deadline: 15th of July  2010

All rewarded compositions will be performed at the festival CULTURESCAPES in November 2010 in Künstlerhaus Boswil by Ensemble Boswil, afterwards tour in Switzerland and with chinese ensemble in Beijing.
